Helping Our Teachers Help Our Students Intown Concord is thrilled to bring the inaugural Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive to Camp Intown Field Day on Saturday, August 3rd from 9am- 2pm, downtown Concord at City Plaza. Summer is here, but a new school year is just around the corner. Intown Concord is helping teachers of the Concord School District get ready by making sure they have the basic school supplies and materials for their students to flourish in the classroom.
Who knows better than teachers about classroom needs? Stuff the Bus is an important component in giving teachers the tools needed to help children succeed in education! Did you know the average costs for an elementary school student costs about $650? A middle-school student might run $1,000, and sending a fully equipped high-schooler off to class can cost nearly $1,500. Meanwhile, the average teacher spends $600 of his or her own cash on school supplies Join us as we accept the challenge to meet the needs of our students and teachers. All school supplies are accepted… from pencils, crayons, paper, dry erase markers to composition books, journals, glue, scissors, etc. The list is endless! The school bus will be parked on City Plaza all day during Camp Intown Field Day. Let’s pack the bus to the top with supplies! Don't have time to shop? All gift cards, Downtown Dollars and cash donations are accepted and appreciated. Join Intown Concord as we Stuff the Bus for our kids!
