NHMS To Host Snocross!

  • Pro riders from around the east coast and beyond will compete in two days of action.
  • The bull ring style 0.25-mile course will include a 100-foot frontstretch triple with a rhythm section on the backstretch that will have the fans on their feet.
  • Youth divisions will also take to the track with riders starting as young as six years old.
  • For snowmobilers riding into this event, The Flat Track is easily accessible off Corridor 15A on the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association’s Trail Map.
  • 50,000 yards of snow was moved from the speedway’s 1,200-acre property into 15 foot tall piles around the track.
  • Over 100 snocross athletes competing over the two days including: Trooper Janell Brown – Female N.H. State Trooper based in Concord, N.H. who started competing in snocross at 9 years old and Kamden Duffy – 11-year-old rider from Richmond, N.H. who started snowmobiling at 3 years old and competing in snocross at 5 years old
  • Saturday gates open 3 p.m. with a free autograph session at 3:30 p.m. and the pro final under the lights at 7:15 p.m.
  • Sunday gates open at 9:00 a.m. with the final starting about 3 p.m. giving you time to get home and catch the end of the Daytona 500.
  • Weekend access including a pit pass is $25. Single day tickets are $15 and kids 12 and under are free.
  • There is limited grandstand seating and open snow seating along the frontstretch and turn four with a view of the entire racetrack. Bring blankets/chairs and make yourself comfortable to enjoy the day’s snowmobile racing.
  • We will have fire pits and heating towers to keep you warm.
  • Free parking, coolers allowed but no alcohol permitted.
  • Food vendors will be onsite selling soup in a bread bowl, hot chocolate, fried dough, barbeque, beer, water and Coke products.
  • Speedway Children’s Charities Red Bucket Brigade will be looking for donations that will go to help children in need across New England.
  • Loudon Firefighters Association will be hosting a smore’s pit.

Sculptors invited to submit entries for City of Concord’s year-round, outdoor exhibition

NEWS RELEASE: 
CONCORD, NH – The  Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and City of Concord, NH invite professional sculptors to submit entries for Art on Main, a public art exhibit in the city’s historic downtown.
The deadline for entries is March 31, 2020. Artists will be notified of their acceptance into the show by April 30, 2020, and selected artists will receive a $500 stipend. Installation dates are May 20 to June 8, 2020. Exhibition dates run from June of 2020 to May of 2021.

The Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire Presents a Community Dialogue on Medicine and Race.

Portsmouth, NH - The Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire (BHTNH) will host an important lecture and community dialogue in the 2020 Elinor Williams Hooker Tea Talk series entitled, “Medicine, Health and Race”.  This fascinating panel and group discussion will take place Sunday, February 16th, from 2 to 4 pm at the Portsmouth Public Library, located at 175 Parrott Avenue in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and is free and open to the public.

The Salisbury Farmers market will start its 5th year June 22 this year.  We ae still looking for more vendors.
