Concord Market Days Rescheduled

4/21/2020

SAVE THE DATE
INTOWN CONCORD’S 46TH ANNUAL MARKET DAYS FESTIVAL
The ultimate free summer festival is coming to you hot! The 46th Annual Market Days Festival has been rescheduled for August 20th, 21st, and 22nd, 2020. Instead of kicking the summer off, we are ending in a blaze! Dine. Shop. And Experience Market Days like never before!
It’s time to celebrate! And we’re doing just that in New Hampshire’s capital city.  This three-day festival is returning to Main Street in downtown Concord, NH on August 20th, 21st and 22nd from 10:00am- 8:00pm each day. This fun packed annual event provides and abundance of shopping in the downtown retail businesses and 100+ pop-up vendors. It also features a variety of performances and activities for the entire family!

We are bringing the summer heat with our live entertainment! We’ve added a fourth stage this year! The new “Super Spectacular Station Stage” will feature family friendly entertainment on the State House Lawn. Immerse yourself in mind-blowing performances at the “Homegrown Stage” featuring talented, local New Hampshire artists; Eagle Square Stage, renowned for “Tandy’s Market Days Idol” competition will feature an “All Star” Show in remembrance of Tandy’s co-owner, Brian Stephens. The South Main Stage will showcase incredible bands, dancers and an outdoor movie sponsored by Red River Theatres.

Downtown’s new Bank of NH Stage will offer daily tours of the venue and headliner shows throughout the festival.

Each night from 8pm-10pm the music continues with headlining bands keeping our downtown alive!

As you stroll and shop downtown mingle with the street performers and visit the Touch-A-Truck stations. The Concord Arts Market returns to Pleasant Street with craft and arts vendors, and the Concord Farmer’s Market will have all your fresh fruits & veggies to give you the colorful tastes of summer!

Need some quiet time? Head over to “Downtime with Intown” on the State House lawn to participate in some soul-healing relaxation sessions. We’ll also have a Pet VIP area to give your favorite pooch some shade and fresh water!

Our Kids Zone features games galore with bounce houses and mini golf back at City Plaza with more games, activities & crafts on the State House Lawn.

Vendor & Sponsorship opportunities are available. Contact Haylie Stoddard, Event Coordinator at 603-226-2150 or events@intownconcord.org.

As they say, there’s something for everyone at Market Days! Visit www.IntownConcord.org for more information.  #Live.Shop.Play.Concord

Contoocook Creamery Adapts to Bottling Challenges

4/6/2020

Contoocook Creamery, known for its fresh, 100% NH milk bottled in iconic glass bottles, is scrambling to change their packaging to include milk in plastic jugs. Although the farm would prefer to rely completely on reusable glass bottles, the change is being driven by market forces as their largest retail partner is no longer able to handle bottle returns, particularly given the Covid 19 challenges they are facing.

Fight Hunger Bags Benefit Boscawen Food Pantry in April

4/2/2020

Dear Friends,
We are so excited to share that The Boscawen Congregational Church " Hilda's" Food Pantry has been selected to be a part of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program, which is designed to make it easy for customers to contribute to their local community while supporting the environment.

For the month of April, each time a $2.50 reusable Fight Hunger Bag is purchased at the Hannaford located at Fort Eddy Rd. Concord, $1 will be donated to the Boscawen Congregational Church Food Pantry. This is a great way to raise awareness, support the environment and fundraise for our cause.

Let’s get started! We can begin by spreading the news to our friends and family. Call, send emails, and post on social media. The more people who learn about the program and purchase the Fight Hunger Bag during the month of April, the more money we will
raise.

To learn more about this program, please visit

Best Wishes and stay safe,

NHTI Answers the Call to Continue Successfully Educating its Students During Pandemic

4/1/2020

CONCORD— At NHTI-Concord’s Community College (NHTI) approximately one in five students take an online class.  When it became apparent that all of our learning would have to move completely online due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) faculty, support staff and administration became laser focused on how to move the rest of our students online. With less than two weeks’ notice, lots of communication, a steep learning curve for some, and a desire to see our students continue to succeed, NHTI has risen to the challenge and provided continued support academically for our students online.
