My name is Kevin Miller and I want to be your State Representative from Penacook (Merrimack District 11). I decided to run to represent you because when I came back home from serving 12 years as a United States Marine, I saw that our community was in worse shape than when I left.
Unfinished projects like the Sewalls Falls bridge, closed businesses, and property taxes higher in the village of Penacook than in the city of Concord show that locally we are on the wrong track. State-wide, our substance abuse crisis and inadequate mental health safety net are problems that need more forward-leaning leadership to resolve. As a Marine I pledged to defend my country, and as your Representative I pledge to fight for the people of Penacook, always putting your interests first. That means I will strive to lower taxes on businesses and homes. I will support increased funding for rehab facilities and increased penalties for drug dealers, and I will staunchly support the interests of our seniors and our veterans. I firmly believe that there should never be a homeless veteran. As I campaign across our community, I hope to hear from you about the challenges you face making ends meet and working to get ahead. I will be knocking on doors and meeting with groups to introduce myself and learn about the things that concern you about our state’s future. If you have questions, concerns, or would like to share your opinions with me, I may be reached at csm0731@gmail.com or 717-5165. |
