Our Summer Reading Program will be kicking off in July.
Salisbury Free Library offers a five-week Summer Reading Program for all children, age newborn to high school. The program is intended to motivate children to read while school is out and encourage them to use their public library. The theme of the 2014 program is “Fizz, Boom, Read!” Come to the library to sign up for Summer Reading! ~ Younger children can join us on Thursdays for Storyhour. In addition to stories, we will make a different craft each week. Children are encouraged to keep track of how many books they read each week and prizes are awarded to all who attend Storyhour. ~ The Borrowers Club is for those who are able to read on their own. Children are asked to keep track of the number of minutes they read and then can enter a raffle for a prize of their choice. Participants in the Borrowers Club are also welcome to attend storyhour and/or NEW this year, our Discovery Workshops. ~ Middle and high school students can also participate in our Summer Reading Program. Weekly raffles for great prizes. Please ask for an information sheet.
