Do you enjoy visiting the wonderful Boscawen Public Library and it has to offer? Would you be willing to contribute an hour of your time a month to help support it? Then Friends of the Boscawen Library are looking for YOU! This active group is an advocate for quality library services for all those who enjoy all that the library has to offer its patrons. Our mission as Friends of the Library is to build a partnership between the library and the community and to focus attention on library services, facilities, needs and promote the use and enjoyment of the library. Additionally, the Friends sponsor and promote supplemental funding for the library to support new services and technologies. The Friends reach out to local businesses who have responded generously with their donations to upgrade the library’s computer software and to support the summer reading program, passes to NH attractions and guest speakers.
More Friends are needed to continue to make our valuable contributions to the Boscawen Library. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month beginning at 4:30 pm with a few breaks on occasion. They are not your typical meeting as last about one hour, not highly structured and definitely not dull! Friends have the opportunity to make a difference through fundraisers, feedback and have fun doing so. For more information about the Friends, contact Eileen Gilbert, Librarian or call Mary Allard at 603-715-1540. We hope to see you at our next meeting scheduled on Thursday, March 19 at 4:30 pm in the library. We will be setting up a Raffle fundraiser with a beautiful handmade Raggedy Ann Doll going to the lucky winner. Comments are closed.
