Danbury, NH: Join friends and family at the Veteran Venture Walk, a cake-walk like fundraiser where you have a chance to win great locally produced products while supporting Merrimack County’s Veteran Market Dollar Program. Veteran Market Dollars give $20 in market dollars to military Veterans each month at participating Merrimack County farmers’ markets.
The Blazing Star Grange Winter Farmers’ Market, located at 15 North Road, Danbury, is hosting the fundraiser from 10:30-11:30 at their winter farmers’ market on Saturday, April 2nd. Numerous rounds will occur each promising a great prize donated by the farmers’ market vendors and community members. Each round is $5. Come to all or some of the fundraiser. The Veteran Market Dollar program is a program of the Merrimack County Conservation District and is part of its farmers’ market promotion and food insecurity programming. The conservation district also runs the local Granite State Market Match program where SNAP/ EBT is doubled up to $20. Merrimack County has incredible farmers’ markets where all can benefit from nutritious, locally produced foods. Help us continue the Veteran Market Dollar program, win some great prizes, buy a delicious lunch from the Blazing Star Grange, and have fun with us on April 2nd from 10:30-11:30.
