Portsmouth, NH – This weekend, June 18, 19, and 20, African Americans will be commemorating Juneteenth, the oldest nationally- celebrated event that marks the end of slavery in the United States.
The Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire (BHTNH) invites you to celebrate the history of Soul Food and Soul Music in the African American community without leaving the comfort and safety of your home. Your family can plan and prepare Soul Food with a twist, learn about the connection between food and historical events in the Black community, listen to a concert of songs that feed the soul, and enjoy rhythmic drumming and dance that honor our African American ancestors. It’s all live- streamed on Zoom, Facebook live, or YouTube live and it’s all free of charge. Go to the BHTNH website: http://www.blackheritagetrailnh.org for more information and to register Comments are closed.
